About Vienna Beef
Vienna Beef was founded in Chicago in 1893 and is still located in Chicago and probably more identified with the city than any other company. Bob Schwartz, a 40-year executive with Vienna, will be speaking about being an international company based out of Chicago. Bob will also be talking about the Hot Dog stands of Chicago. Bob's book about the unique stories of Chicago entrepreneurs and their Hot Dog stands has received national attention both for its humor and the lessons learned.
"The Challenges of Economic Development in a Subsistence Economy: the Haitian experience" with Kathleen Robbins of Jatropha Pepinyè and Michele Sexton Dorvil of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.
Both women recently returned from working on development projects in post-earthquake Haiti.

Serve-a-thon Details:
WHEN: Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Check-in is at the Serve-a-thon Plaza at Soldier Field (Stadium Green at the south end of the stadium). You will board a bus to your service project. After the work is completed, the bus will return you to the Serve-a-thon Plaza.
HOW: To register, go to www.chicagocares.org and click on the Serve-a-thon graphic.
